Karl Altenburger, MDPresident, Florida Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology Society
Dr. Altenburger was in the Charter Class at the University of South Florida College of Medicine having received his medical degree in 1974 and performed his internship and residency at the University of Colorado Medical Center in Denver. He had a Fellowship in Allergy and Immunology at the University of Colorado/National Jewish Hospital and Research Center/National Asthma Center. Dr. Altenburger is Board Certified with the American Board of Allergy and Immunology and the American Board of Pediatrics and he is a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. Over the years, Dr. Altenburger has been very active and held many leadership positions on the Board of Directors of the Florida Medical Political Action Committee (FMA PAC) and served as its President in 1998-2001, as well as MD 1000 Club member since 1992. Dr. Altenburger believes that advocacy, on behalf of the medical profession and our patients, is the responsibility of the medical profession and the Florida Medical Association. He looks forward to the challenges ahead in delivering the best medical care to Florida's patients. |
