Comprehensive Medical Research NetworksRecommendationThe Advisory Council recommends that CMRNs (i.e. Clinical Research Networks, Practice-Based Research Networks, Translational Research Institutes, et cetera.) be explicitly considered as a core component in all efforts to enhance biomedical research and improve healthcare practices. As one example, Medicaid reform efforts could allocate a small fraction of the funds to support practice-based research within the context of a CRMN.
