2010 FL CURED SUMMIT: FL CURED Co-Hosts Anuual BioFlorida Conference

As part of its legislative mandate, FL CURED holds an annual biomedical summit that brings together researchers, companies, manufacturers, and others interested in biomedical research to share research findings to expedite the discovery of cures.

For the first time, FL CURED partnered with BioFlorida to co-host their 2010 Annual Conference. A new track was organized focusing on biomedical research efforts in Florida. This effort demonstrated how collaboration between within the biomedical industry can improve the overall climate. The Biomedical Research Track sessions were successful in attracting over 80 people (close to room capacity) each and received high marks on evaluations by attendees of the event.

Invited by FL CURED, Louis Sullivan, M.D., former Secretary of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, delivered a keynote address on the Economics of Health Disparities at the BioFlorida 13th Annual Conference.
